The Waterloo Homecoming 2.0 Parade and Monster Truck Show is this Saturday, Aug. 26. The parade steps off through Waterloo at 1 p.m., and gates open at the Monroe County Fairgrounds for the monster truck show at 4 p.m. Advanced tickets for the Full Throttle Monster Truck Show at 7 p.m. are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate, with children ages 12 and younger admitted free. Tickets may be purchased at Waterloo’s Dieterich Bank, First National Bank, First Community Bank and Bank of Monroe County locations as well as Rural King. There will be free parking, live music, face painting, a balloon artist, dunk booth, food, drinks and other vendors.
