This Saturday, March 5, Helping Strays of Monroe County is participating in a Slumber Pawty to raise funds for daily operations, raise awareness of the importance of adoption from local shelters and give the public a look into the life of a shelter animal.

The public is invited to visit the shelter at 4221 Hanover Road in Columbia from 2-9 p.m. Tours will be available, snacks and drinks provided and people will have an opportunity to see how Helping Strays operates. Several volunteers and staff will be spending the entire night playing and sleeping beside rescued cats and dogs in the shelter.
