Monroe County, along with Columbia, Waterloo and Valmeyer are teaming up to hold a household hazardous waste collection open to all Illinois residents May 22 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Monroe County Fairgrounds. Latex paint will not be accepted. Visit your city or county website or Facebook page for a complete list of what can be taken to the collection site. This is for households only, not farm, business or municipality waste.
