Columbia Mayor Kevin Hutchinson and other local elected officials are participating in a “Slumber Pawty” to benefit Helping Strays on Aug. 10. Sponsored by Purina, more than 200 animal lovers will spend the night in a shelter animal’s kennel in an effort to raise money.
