The Summer Fiddle & Banjo Contest is from noon to 5 p.m. this Saturday, May 6, at the New Athens Community Hall, 406 Chester Street. There will lots of fun for the entire family and several divisions in both contests. All juniors will receive a medal regardless of placement. Cost is $10 general admission, $5 for seniors and free for those 12 years of age and younger. Contestants and accompaniment do not pay admission; however, there is a $5 entry fee for contestants.
