The Columbia police, fire department and EMS agencies host a free Public Safety Open House at the city’s public safety complex, 1020 N. Main Street, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 18.

Attendees can meet emergency responders, watch an air evac helicopter landing, view emergency vehicles and equipment, and receive health, wellness and safety information.

There will be free hot dogs and chips available.
