Arts in the Park, a new family-friendly  event co-sponsored by the City of Columbia, Monroe County Arts Alliance and Dorothy Weinel Eppinger Foundation, will be held this Sunday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Metter Park in Columbia, 124 S. Metter Avenue. Fine arts vendors will be on hand to display and sell their work, performances on two stages and food available. The Museum at Metter in the bandstand will house a display of student art from the county high schools, and the Kids Creative Zone will have opportunities for children to create works of art.  Performances will be given by Monroe Actors Stage Company and several dance and musical acts.
