Les Amis du Fort de Chartres is hosting an artillery safety school from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 9, at Fort de Chartres, 1350 Route 155, Prairie du Rocher. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Cost is $27 and period dress is required for attendance. There is limited camping available and attendees do not need a cannon to take the course.
