Electrical fire in Columbia

Emergency personnel responded shortly after 3:10 p.m. Saturday to an electrical fire in the wall of a residence in the 500 block of North Rapp Street in Columbia.

Smoke was coming from an electrical outlet, and fire was eventually detected in the wall.

The fire was extinguished quickly. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The Columbia Fire Department was assisted at the scene by Columbia police and EMS.
