The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Dupo High School softball team coached by Greg Pennock.

The Tigers (20-5) topped Gillespie on Saturday to win the Class 2A Gillespie Sectional, then defeated St. Joseph-Ogden on Monday to win the Class 2A Athens Supersectional and advance to the IHSA state tournament for the first time since 2009.

Dupo plays 3 p.m. Friday in East Peoria.
