Drug arrest made in county

Luc A. Latinette

A Columbia man was arrested and sentenced last week for possession of LSD.

Court information states that on Sept. 2, Luc Allen Latinette, 19, of Columbia, was arrested on two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.

He is alleged to have had in his possession more than 15 but less than 200 objects of LSD.

On Sept. 3, Latinette entered a guilty plea to the charges at the Monroe County Courthouse. He was sentenced to two years of probation, fined $315 and was ordered to serve two days in county jail with credit for time served.

Monroe County Sheriff Neal Rohlfing said police located a suspicious vehicle in a soybean field at the intersection of Route 156 and J Road about 12:30 p.m. last Wednesday. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Latinette, was found to be in possession of 25 doses of LSD, along with marijuana, marijuana wax, drug paraphernalia and a drug ledger showing how to make a profit selling narcotics.
