Dennis “Ole” Holle | Obituary

Dennis “Ole” Holle, 72, of Hecker, died Dec. 24, 2014 in St. Louis.

He was born May 25, 1942 in Belleville, son of the late Otto and Dorothy Holle, nee Meyer.

He was the co-owner of Dennis Auto Sales in New Athens from 1969-2014, co-owner of Waterloo Motors in Waterloo from 1982-1997, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed gardening, taking care of his yard and most of all, being with his family.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary M. “Margie” Holle, nee Korte; daughters and sons-in-law Denise and Ned Guetterman, Dawn and Tom Hootselle, Michelle and Britain Ogilvie; grandsons Neil, Nicholas, Nolan and Nevin Guetterman; TJ and Alex Hootselle; Bentley Ogilvie (to be born April 2015); sisters Carolyn Keim and Dorothy Holle (Al Donn); brother Roger (JoAnn) Holle; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Elmer (Carol) Dintelman, Robert Wagner, Doris Chaput, Patricia Stock, Dennis (Llana) Korte; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Otto Holle Jr. and Ralph Holle, sisters Margaret Dintelman, Janet Wagner, Audrey Wagner, Coleen Simpson and Charlotte Holle.

Visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 28 and 8 to 9:15 a.m. Dec. 29 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Dec. 29 at St. Augustine Church in Hecker.

Interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Hecker.
