Dennis C. Walster | Obiturary

Dennis C. Walster, 96, of Smithton, died Feb. 4, 2013, in Red Bud.
He was born Feb. 28, 1916, in Kellogg, Ill., son of the late Frank and Blanche (nee Alberts) Walster.
Walster was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud.
Survivors include children Mary Ann (John) McConachie, Rita (Stan) Osterhage and Robert (JoAnn) Walster, along with  six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, two great-great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Clara Walster (nee Menke), a sister, four brothers and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, and 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Monsignor Dennis Schaefer officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Renault.
Memorials may be made in the form of Masses, or to Red Bud Regional Care Center (East Wing).
