Demo derby a smashing success at Monroe County Fair

The ever-popular auto demolition derby delighted fans Friday night at the Monroe County Fair in Waterloo.

When it was all said and done, winners in the pro mod class of the derby were Brian Lehr of Columbia (first place), Ben Hanna of Waterloo (second) and Jared Beatty of Jerseyville (third).

The stock class was dominated by the Seymour family of Waterloo, as Mike Seymour took first followed by Pat Seymour in second and Tom Ervin of Waterloo in third place.
In the TVP class, Jason Goeddel of Waterloo pulled out the win, with Josh Van Meter of Missouri taking second and Brian Lehr of Columbia in third.
In the mini car class of Friday’s derby, Gage Sumner of Missouri took the big trophy, with Kaelen Mudd of Waterloo in second and Chris Helms of Missouri in third.
