David T. O’Riley, 68, of Waterloo, died July 28, 2015, in Waterloo.

He was born Dec. 21, 1946, in E. St. Louis, son of the late Jerry T. and Florence (nee Jehling) O’Riley.

David was a member of Waterloo VFW Post 6504, and he was a batch manager for Roger’s Redi Mix.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife Patricia O’Riley (nee Ruehle); children Shannon Toal, Sean (Aubrey) O’Riley, Alison (Kaelan Mudd) O’Riley, and Bill Cheney; grandchildren Samuel Toal, Talia Toal, Reign O’Riley, Aeydn O’Riley, Chelsea Cheney, Thomas Cheney and Hannah Cheney; brother Kevin Patrick O’Riley; sister-in-law Nancy (Shelby) Mathes; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 1, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A celebration of life service will follow at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, Rev. Sebastian Ukoh, C.M. officiating.
