Cynthia Kay Thompson-Berry | Obituary

Cynthia Kay Thompson-Berry, 47, of Naperville, died Oct. 29, 2013, in Naperville, following an extended battle with cancer.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Donna Thompson.

She worked tirelessly at the University of Illinois at Chicago as a psychologist with children and adolescents who others had given up on. She was proud of her work there, but what she

took the most pride in was the family she loved and cherished, especially her daughters. They will all miss her very much.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Douglas Berry; daughters, Olivia and Maggie; parents, Joseph and Donna Thompson; siblings, Laura (Rick) Cottrell, Kathy (Bob) Bird, Matthew (Jenni) Thompson; paternal grandmother Vanda Thompson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Janice Berry of Waterloo; sister-in-law, Angela Berry; seven nieces; two nephews; and one great-nephew.

Visitation was Nov. 3, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home.

Funeral services were Nov. 4, at St. John United Church of Christ, Naperville.

Private interment followed at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
