Stephanie and Drew Cordia of Imperial, Mo. announce the birth of their son, Cruz Jonathan Cordia.

He was born at 4:25 p.m. Oct. 23, 2014 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

He weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was 19 inches long.

He was welcomed to the world by big sister Payton, 22 months.

His maternal grandparents are John and Mary Mosir of Waterloo.

Paternal grandparents are Jim and Timi Cordia of Fenton, Mo. and Rita and Phil Ochoa of Collinsville.

His great-grandparents are Rita Haas of St. Louis and the late Esther Schoenborn of Waterloo.
