Injury crash on Bluff Road in Valmeyer

Valmeyer police and fire, Monroe County EMS and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday to a two-vehicle crash on Bluff Road at East Woodland Ridge, with both cars sustaining serious front-end damage.

At least one person was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center with injuries not believed life-threatening. Bluff Road was closed to traffic until about 3:30 p.m. as emergency personnel worked to clear the crash scene.

The cars involved were a 2011 Nissan Altima driven by Gage Chandler, 19, of Valmeyer, and a 2014 Chevy Cruze driven by Haley Stemmley, 19, of Waterloo. Stemmley was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center. Chandler was cited for failure to yield.
