Crash early Sunday morning near Smithton

The Illinois State Police assisted the Smithton Fire Department, St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department and EMS personnel in responding about 2 a.m. Sunday to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Floraville Road and Route 159 between Smithton and Hecker.

Two people were injured in the crash, which remains under investigation.
