CFD responds to brush fire

The Columbia Fire Department responded at about 12:35 p.m. Saturday to a brush fire reported just north of Bottom Road on the west side of the railroad tracks on the railroad right of way.

Firefighters had the brush fire under control and were extinguishing hot spots as of 1:30 p.m., per police radio dispatch communications.
