The Columbia Police Department will participate in the July 4 holiday “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” traffic safety campaigns.

The added patrols will focus on late night hours during the times more deaths occur related to alcohol and unbuckled drivers. The Illinois Department of Transportation Division of Traffic Safety is providing 100 percent of the funding for these additional traffic safety patrols. This added enforcement will take place through July 6.
