A 1999 Columbia High School graduate is spreading enthusiasm for sewing with a new shop she opened slightly more than a year ago in Webster Groves, Mo.

Shannon (Beczkala) Robinson is the owner of Fabric Nosherie at 21 North Gore Avenue.

“It is a dream of mine — a fabric shop and sewing studio,” Robinson said. “We have unique, modern fabrics and offer classes to all levels of sewers, even kids.”

Robinson said the best part of her job is seeing new sewers get excited about creating something all on their own.

“Especially the kiddos… they have so much excitement and creativity,” she said.

Fabric Nosherie has been featured four times on the TV show Great Day St. Louis, and Stitch Magazine based out of Colorado is planning to do a piece on the shop.
