Christian John “C.J.” Collins

Christian John “C.J.” Collins, 22, of Red Bud, died at 5:59 a.m., April 29, 2018, in rural Red Bud.

He was born May 16, 1995, in Normal, son of Chad and Rosemary “Rhodie” Collins (nee Uffelmann) of Red Bud.

C.J. worked at Casey’s General Store in Red Bud.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud. 

C.J. enjoyed playing video games on his X-Box and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his parents; brother Jeremy Collins of Red Bud; uncles Willie Uffelmann of Red Bud, and Chris (Trica) Collins of Bluford; aunt Marsha Walker of Collinsville; grandfather Willard Uffelmann of Red Bud; grandparents Ernest and Brenda Collins of Mt. Vernon; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Rosemary Uffelmann.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. June 15, at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud; and 9-11 a.m. June 16, at St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. June 16, at the church, Rev. Mark Nebel officiating.

Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Red Bud.

Memorials may be made to the C.J. Collins Memorial Scholarship Fund.
