CFD responding to kitchen fire

The Columbia Fire Department was called to 7671 Wagner Road in rural Millstadt for a fire reported in a kitchen.

The call went out at 1:10 p.m. Monday. Firefighters said there was smoke inside the home upon arrival and they were working to ventilate it from the structure. All occupants of the home were reported to have exited safely.

The Millstadt Fire Department was requested for mutual aid.
