Catherine R. Braun (nee Rettinghouse), 57, of Hecker, died April 22, 2013, in Hecker.

She was born Dec. 1, 1955, in Red Bud, daughter of Loretta Hudson and the late Melvin L. Rettinghouse.

She was married to Stephen R. Braun; he survives her.

Braun was a member of St. Augustine Church, Hecker. She was the former Hecker Village Clerk and was the office manager of William Braun Milk Hauling.

Survivors include her mother; husband; children Julie Braun and Stephen M. (Amanda) Braun; grandchild Wyatt Braun; and sister Dawn (Kirk) Ritzel; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brother Melvin E. Rettinghouse.

Visitation is Thursday, April 25, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Friday, April 26, from 8 to 9:15 a.m.; at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated April 26, at 10 a.m., at St. Augustine Church, Hecker, Father Von Deeke officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Hecker.
