Caswells celebrate 55th anniversary

Bill and Mavis (Easton) Caswell recently hosted a dinner for 100 family members and friends in honor of their 55 years of a happy marriage.

The Caswells were married June 4, 1960, at First Assembly of God Church in Belleville.

In 1994, Bill retired as an 18-wheel driver for Ashland Chemical in St. Louis. He was also a shop steward and negotiated union contracts with Ashland.

Mavis taught school in Waterloo for 25 years, also retiring in 1994.

The Caswells have four children and 15 grandchildren: Ron, Cynthia and Brittany Bowyer of Colorado; Ryan, Erica, Alex and Adam Siddle of Belleville; Calvin, Shari, Josh and Taylor of Tulsa, Okla.; Jared and Jordan Kaemmerer of Shiloh; Bill, Joyce (Hood), Victoria, Zach, Brendan, Tristin and Stefan Caswell of Millstadt; Curt, Kathy (Heil), Jake and Nick Caswell of Red Bud.
Their great-grandson is Jason Bowyer of Colorado.

Ongoing pain for Bill due to a vehicular accident in 1993 has forced the Caswells to reside in Fort Myers, Fla.

They wish to express gratitude to God for all his blessings to them and their families.
