Carol Jane Seders, nee Liefer, 60, of Prairie du Rocher, died Feb. 2, 2015 in Prairie du Rocher.

She was born Aug. 7, 1954 in Red Bud, daughter of Ruby Koester and the late Norbert Liefer.

Carol married Earl Wayne Seders on May 24, 1995 at Trinity Lutheran Church. He survives.

She was a homemaker and loved gardening and babysitting. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Renault and former leader of the LYF Group.

Carol is survived by her children, David Allen (Melanie) Seders of Prairie du Rocher, Jennifer Renee (Jared Braun) Seders of Prarie du Rocher, Connie Sue (Brian) Meyer of Oak Ridge, Mo., Rhonda Marie (Paul) Greatting of Houston, Ronald Lee (Tina) Seders of Baldwin; siblings Ronnie (Patti) Liefer of Red Bud, Janel (Stanley) Voss of Red Bud, Dona (Mike) Van Dorn of Red Bud; grandchildren Christopher, Dylan and Lorna Seders, Amanda and Nicole Meyer, Faith Greatting, and Michaela Seders; her mother Ruby Liefer of Red Bud; and mother-in-law Elda Seders of Red Bud.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norbert Liefer, and father-in-law Earl Seders.

She was a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 5 at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud and 10 to 11 a.m. Feb. 6 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Renault.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Feb. 6 at the church.

Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
