This week’s Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Columbia High School baseball player Cameron Touchette.

The junior is off to a sizzling hot start at the plate this spring, hitting .789 (15-for-19) in the team’s first seven games following Wednesday’s home win over Marquette. Touchette has also been a menace on the basepaths, recording 10 stolen bases in the early going for the Eagles, who are 5-2.
