The Waterloo Police Department is investigating a burglary that was reported Friday evening to a residence on Mockingbird Lane in the Westview Acres subdivision.

The homeowner contacted police shortly after their arrival home from work.

Police said damage was caused to a sliding glass door at the rear of the home, with muddy footprints observed inside and a total of $2 reported missing.
