Brush fire south of Valmeyer

The Valmeyer Fire Department was paged shortly before 4:40 p.m. Wednesday to a brush fire reported near a residence in the 800 block of Berger Road near Levee Road in far southwestern Monroe County.

This call came after several such brush fire calls reported in the area throughout the day Wednesday.
