Bobby Gene Davis

Bobby Gene Davis, 87, of Waterloo, died Aug. 10, 2017, in Waterloo.

He was born Feb. 9, 1930, in Ironton, Mo., son of the late William and Lydia Davis (nee Young).

He was a lifetime member of Maeystown Sportsman Club, and a longtime member of the Operators and Engineers Local No. 520.

He is survived by his children Barbara Esker (Henry Schlotmann), Donna Davis, Steve (Brenda) Davis, Gerald Davis (Lori Angle), Roger (Rebecca) Davis, James (Aggie) Davis, Julie (Vance) Powell and Gary (Klaudia) Davis; 16 grandchildren; and 19-great grandchildren.

Bobby Gene is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Davis (nee Muertz); son Ronald; grandsons Mark and John, three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation was Aug. 14-15, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, and Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo, Father Osang Idagbo C.M. officiating.

Interment followed at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo.
