Betty “Mimi” Sinn

Betty “Mimi” Sinn (nee Reifschneider), 85, of Titusville, Fla., died peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Royal Oaks in Titusville, Fla., surrounded by family.

She was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Waterloo, daughter of the late William and Alma Reifschneider (nee Mueller).

Betty enjoyed shopping, decorating her home, taking care of her family and volunteering at Parrish Medical Center. She was an active member of the Indian River City United Methodist Church in Titusville, enjoyed reading the Bible and prayed for all those in need.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Merlyn C. Sinn; children Sherry (Mike) Dreps and Scott (Jennifer) Sinn; grandchildren Aerica (Greg) Pilkey, Kelsey (Brandon) Leetch, Adam Rice and Alanna Rice; and great-grandchildren Tristan Barber, Gabriel Barber, Alex Pilkey, Linee Pilkey and Lukas Pilkey.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and a daughter, Stephanie A. Rice.

A memorial service will be held July 23, at 11 a.m., at Indian River City United Methodist Church in Titusville, Fla.

Andrea is a graduate of Gibault High School and the University of Missouri School of Journalism, the University of Missouri Harry S Truman School of Public Affairs and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville College of Education. She lives in Columbia with her husband and their twin toddler sons.
