Arline F. Ahne | Obituary

Arline F. Ahne , 77, of Fults, died July 3, 2015, in Fults.

He was born Jan. 3, 1938, in Madonnaville, son of the late Joseph F. and Corina A. Ahne (nee Floerke).

Arline was a member St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tipton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, retired from Peabody Coal, and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife Margaret A. Ahne (nee Lutman); children Deborah (Robert) Condor, Donna (Karl) Frank, Anne (John) Biffar, and Steven (fiancee Alyssa) Ahne; grandchildren Kenneth (Melissa) Schmidt, Scott (Kristen) Schmidt, Andrew (Allison) Biffar, Dana Biffar, Shane Biffar, Mitchell Frank and Grace Ahne; great-grandchildren Austin and Olivia Schmidt; and brothers and sisters Arthur (Joan) Ahne, LaVerne (John) Schuster, Bernice (Melvin) Duvall, Joann Shields, Ruth Feldker, Henry  (Mary) Ahne, Robert (Lucy) Ahne, Paul (Betty) Ahne, William Ahne, Michael “Gene” (Jean) Ahne, and Richard “Butch” (Pamela) Ahne; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Wade T. Ahne,  and brothers John B. Ahne and Martin G. Ahne.

Visitation was July 6-7, at Quernheim Funeral Home. Waterloo.

The funeral was July 7, at St. Patrick Church, Tipton, with Father John Kizhakedan officiating.

Interment followed at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Madonnaville.

Andrea is a graduate of Gibault High School and the University of Missouri School of Journalism, the University of Missouri Harry S Truman School of Public Affairs and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville College of Education. She lives in Columbia with her husband and their twin toddler sons.
