Andrew E. Sager, 79, of East Carondelet, died May 19, 2016, in Belleville.

He was born May 5, 1937,  in East Carondelet, son of the late John and Nettie Sager (nee Arras).

He married the former Shirley Ross on July 6, 1957, in Cahokia; she survives him.

Andy was retired from Crown, Cork and Seal Company. He was a member of Bethany Methodist Church, Columbia.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Julie (Greg) Drago, Cindy (Gary) McBride, and Lisa (Jerry) Peterson; six grandchildren, Brian, Beth, Jessica, Alex, Kylie and Cory; and four great-grandchildren, Colin, Katelyn, Josie and Ben.

He was preceded by his parents, brother Lester Sager and three sisters, Virginia Roeber, Ester Chapman and Ruth McGarry.

Visitation and funeral services were May 23-24, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Rev. Ron Chase officiating.

Interment followed at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville.
