Alice Modglin

Alice Modglin (nee Shea), 85, of Waterloo, died Sept. 25, 2017, in Waterloo. 

She was born May 2, 1932, in Red Bud, daughter of the late Charles and Velma Shea (nee Mudd).

She was married to Harold A. Modglin; he preceded her in death.

She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children Kathleen (Robert) Melliere, David (Janet) Modglin, Jim (Pat) Modglin, Greg (Dawn) Modglin, and Jennifer (Robert) Radosevich; grandchildren Scott, Kelly, Tierney, Zach, Katie, Corey, Janelle, Marissa, Emelia, Jacob, and Lillian; sisters Joyce (Roy) Wirth, and Dorothy Dearworth; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Visitation was Sept. 27, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 27, at Ss. Peter & Paul  Catholic Church, Waterloo, Father Osang Idagbo C.M. officiating.

Interment followed at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Ss. Peter & Paul  Catholic Church or Alzheimer’s Association.
