Alexander Sokalsky | Obituary

Alexander  Sokalsky, 66, of Waterloo, died Nov. 14, 2015, in Waterloo.

He was born Nov. 27, 1948, in St. Albans, N.Y., son of the late Alexander and Rita Sokalsky (nee Regh).

He is survived by his wife Linda K. Sokalsky (nee Watkins); children Amanda (Matt) Lorin, and Leigh Anne Sokalsky; brothers Mark Cronovich, Peter John (Teri) Cronovich, and Mathew Cronovich (Patrick Cody); sister Regina (Frank) Abel; very special great-great-niece Kory; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Rosanna Cronovich.

Visitation was Nov. 17, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 18, at St. Patrick Church in Tipton, with Father John Kizhakedan officiating.

Interment followed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

Alexander was an active member of St. Patrick Church in Tipton, Knights of Columbus #1334, volunteered at soup kitchens, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to: Siteman Cancer Center or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
