The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is recent Columbia High School graduate Alex Schreckenberg. The infielder was a key member of the Class 2A state runner-up baseball team, providing solid defense while also hitting .386 with a .481 on base percentage and 40 runs, 37 RBIs three home runs, 11 doubles and 32 stolen bases. He will play college ball at McKendree University.
