The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Valmeyer High School basketball player Aiden Crossin. The 6-foot-1 junior led the Pirates in scoring this season at nearly 17 points per game – including 39.5 percent shooting from three-point range. Crossin scored a season-high 33 points against New Athens on Jan. 19.
