Girls postseason action tips off
Girls high school basketball postseason action tips off in Illinois next week, with many of the local teams playing right here in the area.
Both Columbia and Valmeyer host the first round of post season play at the Regional level followed by Waterloo and Dupo hosting Sectionals.
1A and 2A games begin Monday with the seeding as follows: Valmeyer Regional– 1. Lebanon, 2. Metro East Lutheran, 3. Gibault, 4. Madison, 5. Valmeyer; Campbell Hill (Trico) Regional– 1. Red Bud, 2. Pinckneyville, 3. Trico, 4. Chester, 5. Sparta, 6. Dupo.
Next Monday the first round of postseason play will begin for 3A and 4A schools with the seeding as follows: Columbia Regional– 1. Columbia, 2. Mascoutah, 3. Althoff Catholic, 4. Waterloo, 5. Cahokia, 6. Freeburg.
