Eugene B. “Benny” Maurer
Eugene B. “Benny” Maurer, 84, of Waterloo, died Jan. 23, 2013, in Waterloo.
He was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Waterloo, son of the late Benedict T. and Clara A. Maurer (nee Einwich).
He was married to Bonnie Maurer (nee Buss); she survives him.
Mr. Maurer was retired from Monsanto and Afton Chemical. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife; children Sally (David) Stellhorn, and Steven (Rhonda) Maurer; son-in-law Scott Paisley; grandchildren Benjamin (Krista) Paisley, Jessica (Aaron) Zeller, Amy (Mike) Wolter, Adam (Kim) Stellhorn, Aaron (Anne) Stellhorn, Andrew Maurer and Rachel Maurer; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gene and Darlene Buss, and Judy Maurer; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Sidne E. Paisely, grandson Joshua Paisley, brother Robert Maurer, and sister Myrtle Ostendorf.
Per his request, there were no services.
