The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Valmeyer High School volleyball player Mia McSchooler. The freshman led the Pirates with 22 points, six aces and five kills in a two-set victory over Lebanon on April 7, which was her birthday. McSchooler leads the team with 90 points and 25 aces this season and also has 92 digs and 29 kills.
