Valmeyer fire and police departments and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department responded around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday for a possible structure fire at 130 Epsom Drive in Valmeyer.

The caller advised that there was smoke on the ceiling and coming from the furnace vents.

Residents were evacuated while emergency personnel investigated. It was not immediately known what caused the smoke.
