Hiker injured on Valmeyer trail

Emergency personnel responded about 8:45 a.m. Saturday to an injured hiker on the Salt Lick Trail in Valmeyer.

A female hiker fell and was believed to have broken her kneecap, according to emergency radio dispatch. She was with other hikers and was about two miles in on the trail.

Responding agencies included the Valmeyer Fire Department and Monroe County EMS.
