The Millstadt and Columbia fire departments responded about 10:45 a.m. Thursday to a reported structure fire in the 3300 block of Terrace View Court in Millstadt.

Emergency dispatch advised a short time later that most of the fire had been extinguished by the homeowner using a garden hose.

It was reported to be siding on the exterior of the house that was damaged from a fire pit.
