The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is baseball player Austin Francis of the Millstadt Green Machine in the Mon-Clair League. Francis, a 2017 Dupo High School graduate who plays at McKendree University, slugged three home runs in the league playoffs Aug. 15-16, including two in the championship game. During the regular seson, Francis hit .324 with four home runs and 10 RBIs for Millstadt.
