The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Joey Kossina of the Millstadt Green Machine in the Mon-Clair League. Kossina, the younger brother of teammates Cal and Tony Kossina, went 5-for-7 at the plate in Millstadt’s doubleheader sweep of division rival Waterloo on Sunday. He currently leads the Mon-Clair League in hitting this season at .621 (18-for-29) with seven RBIs.
