The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School wrestler Brandon Lloyd. The sophomore placed second in the 160-pound division at the Mascoutah Sectional on Saturday to qualify for state. His win in the semifinals gave him 39 victories on the season, breaking the old WHS single-season wins record of 38 previously set by Austin Stewart in 2016.
