Fire call in Maeystown

The Maeystown Fire Department responded to the 1300 block of Franklin Street about 6:50 p.m. Thursday for a fire in a basement. A fire official said shortly before 7 p.m. that the fire was out and firefighters were ventilating smoke from the area affected.
