The Republic-Times Athletes of the Week are Keegan Baxmeyer and Jeremy Rettig of the Waterloo Millers in the Mon-Clair League. Baxmeyer had the game-winning RBIs in both games of a Saturday doubleheader against the St. Louis Printers and Rettig picked up both wins on the mound. Baxmeyer, who is hitting .404 for the Millers this summer, hit an RBI single in the ninth inning to win game one. His two-run homer was the difference in a 3-1 game two victory. Rettig, who is 5-2 with a 2.60 ERA this summer, pitched two innings of relief for the win in game one and struck out seven in a complete game mound victory in game two. (Corey Saathoff photos)
