The bride-to-be is the daughter of David Ahne of Waterloo and Susan Hitchcock of Bertgrand, Mo. She is a graduate of Waterloo High School and Eastern Illinois University, Charleston. She is employed as an accounting supervisor.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Sharon and Chris Burtch of Robinson. He is a graduate of Robinson High School and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He is employed in tech support.

The couple are planning an Oct. 27, 2018, wedding.
